“Joy” is entirely handmade. I explore contrasts by juxtaposing soft, textured felt with metal mesh, while the delicate lightness of feathers playfully counterbalances the strength and resilience of rubber elements. Through these unexpected combinations, familiar materials are reimagined, revealing new possibilities, meanings, and connections.

Various elements are knotted, woven, twisted together, allowing their individual qualities to interact organically. Macramé techniques are occasionally employed to emphasize the rigidity of wooden dowels, which form the underlying structure of the playful composition. This balance between flexibility and strength, softness and structure, reflects my ongoing interest in transforming ordinary materials into unexpected visual narratives.
